NEW: Hanhart FLY NAVY Aerosphere Limited Edition

The usual officially military-aligned or military-adjacent watches are linked to pilots in air forces or divers in navies, but German brand Hanhart has just announced the FLY NAVY Aerosphere, a new limited edition designed for, as you can guess from the name, those in naval aviation.

Coming in a 42mm sized (12.95mm thick) case with a combination of brushed and polished finishing, the FLY NAVY Aerosphere has a water resistance of 300 m and a helium escape valve at 10 o’clock for underwater needs. The screw-down crown has the coat of arms of the Naval Air Wing (Marine-fliegergeschwader/ MFG) 3 or 5. This is individually selected and also continues through to the case back, which features the embossed coat of arms of Naval Air Wing (Marine-fliegergeschwader) 3 or Naval Air Wing (Marinefliegergeschwader) 5, alongside an engraved limitation number.

The Naval Air Wing logo also appears on the navy blue dial, which also features a seconds hand with Poseidon’s trident in orange as a sea nod. The indices and hands have Super-LumiNova, as do the triangle, indices and numbers on the fluted unidirectional ceramic diving bezel.

Powering it is an automatic base Sellita SW 200 movement which beats at 28,800 VPH and has a power reserve of 38 hours.

The limited edition FLY NAVY Aerosphere is available with either a blue Hook Strap™ textile strap on a stainless steel folding clasp with diving extension and fine adjustment, or on a stainless steel bracelet.

It is limited to 300 pieces, split equally with 150 on the textile strap with an RRP of EUR 1,490 (including taxes), and 150 on the stainless steel bracelet with an RRP of EUR 1,690 including taxes.
